The capital of Salzburg, in the Salzburgian basin, is on the northern border of the Alps and is surrounded by three mountains. Its famed Old Town is on the banks of the Salzach River, and the hotel itself is about two kilometres from Mozart's House and the Mozart Square. Saint Peter's Cathedral, an Abby from the 9th century, is only 3.5 kilometers from the Renaissance, and the Salzburg Airport is a scant 5 kilometers from this hotel.
Athletic guests and culture-loving travelers enjoy this centrally located hotel, which places them within 20 kilometers of four golf courses and minutes from the baroque gardens of the Hellbrunn Palace and the 11th century Festung Hahensalzburg, a fortress with a spectacular view, museums, and even a torture chamber. Guests may also be interested in the Sound of Music Tour, which highlights architecture and countryside seen in the 1965 movie version of the Von Trapp family's experiences in Austria during World War II.
